The Sabundu Badeh Foundation has empowered over 1,000 residents of Vimtim community in Adamawa State at the delivering free hepatitis vaccinations to over 1,000 residents qnd empowering petty traders with multimillion Naira grants, and installing solar-powered amenities to improve safety and water access for thousands.

This latest series of interventions underscores the Foundation’s long-term commitment to addressing the most urgent needs of underserved communities, while aligning its efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a statement by the Foundation said.

“The outreach began with a targeted health intervention, where no fewer than 1,000 peole received free hepatitis vaccinations. In a region where access to preventive healthcare is limited, this initiative not only protects lives but also promotes awareness about the importance of early detection and immunisation. The programme reflects the Foundation’s strategic alignment with SDG 3: Good Health and Well-Being, reinforcing health as a cornerstone of community development.

Recognising the economic pressures facing many households, especially in the informal sector, the Sabundu Badeh Foundation also flagged off an economic empowerment initiative that provided multimillion in grants to local petty traders.

From market women to roadside vendors, these small-scale entrepreneurs were given a financial lifeline to stabilise and grow their businesses. By supporting income generation at the base of the pyramid, the Foundation is advancing SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth),” it added.

Speaking on the Foundation’s renewed efforts, Captain Alex Badeh Junior, Trustee of the Sabundu Badeh Foundation, stated:
“Our commitment to grassroots development goes beyond charity, it is about creating systems of dignity, opportunity, and sustainability. In every medical treatment administered, every petty trader empowered, and every water pumps installed, we are investing in people and their potential to thrive. This is the legacy we are proud to uphold.”
