The Sev’Av Foundation has lifted at least 84 indigenes of Benue State through its skills acquisition centres to become self-reliant. 

Founder of the Foundation and former First Lady of Benue State, Arc. Yemisi Dooshima Suswam, said this during the graduation ceremony in Makurdi, that the number of graduands this year was the least since the inception of the Foundation over eight years ago. 

Mrs Suswam said that the Foundation continues to give hope to the hopeless and impact lives despite the current economic downturn in the country, noting that the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as security challenges,  had also made some of the centres to close down temporarily, which resulted in the low number of graduands from the Foundation this year. 

She applauded all those who have continued to support the Foundation while stressing the need for all hands to be on deck to ensure that less privileged in the society are given new lease of life at all times. 

Also speaking, her husband,  Senator Gabriel Suswam, thanked his wife for her commitment to the Foundation and urged the graduands not to despise their days of little beginning but work harder to use the skills learnt to positively impact their lives.
