A nongovernmental organisation, The Elizabeth Foundation, will on Sunday October 15 organise a charity football match in Abuja tagged ‘Kick Out Poverty.’

The exhibition football match is aimed at raising funds for charity. 

Founder of the foundation, Mrs Angel Abosede Adelami, who addressed a press conference at the weekend, said the charity football match, to hold at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja, would feature entertainers/media persons who would play against federal lawmakers in the first instance.

She said the football match which will be played in both male and female categories, would feature stars like Charley Boy, Samson Siasia who will play against lawmakers while professional footballers will also sweat it out among themselves in another category.

Mrs Adelami said the foundation became operational in 2004 as  a humanitarian purpose platform for empowering vulnerable children and women, including widows and orphans and the provision of basic social amenities like education and clean water.
