Foundation prepares for launch, highlights early work in FCT

The OjayAjaifia Foundation for Children with Disabilities (OFCD), a non-profit established in April 2025, is preparing for its formal launch in September.

The organisation focuses on supporting children with disabilities through access to healthcare, inclusive education, mental health care, and community support.

Ahead of the launch, the Foundation held a pre-launch engagement on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Novare Mall, Wuse Zone 6, Abuja. The event was attended by representatives of civil society organisations, advocacy groups, and other stakeholders in the disability sector.

At the session, OFCD outlined projects already undertaken since April, as well as its planned programmes. It also presented a roadmap for collaboration with other organisations working on disability inclusion.

Key participants included representatives from CBM Global, Women and Girls with Albinism Network, the National Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (NAPWPD), and the Akin Fadeyemi Foundation.

The Foundation’s official launch is scheduled for September 27, 2025, when it will publicly present its programmes and areas of focus.
