Wife of the Kwara State Governor, Mrs. Omolewa Ahmed, has solicited for the support of corporate organization, non-governmental organizations and government to enable her foundation, LEAH Charity Foundation, carry out its various initiatives towards fighting cancer.
Omolewa who was represented by the Executive Director of the foundation, Mr. Lanre Bello made the call during a press conference organized by the foundation in commemoration of this year’s World Cancer Day held at LEAH Centre, Ilorin.
She said the foundation has screened 11,500 women in the last three years of its establishment, adding that in line with this year’s theme which is ‘ We Can, I Can’ LEAH charity has prepared to develop capacity of more people to to reduce the global burden of cancer.
LEAH Charity Ultra modern diagnostic centre provides; mammography, breast scan, cervix screening, pap smear, various laboratory investigations and crytherapy services.
