A release signed by the group’s publicity secretary, Sodiq Alabi, said the album was the fruit of a two-year effort that involved the foundation and the Abuja branch of ANA.
Alabi said the album, which was produced by Isu Media Ltd in collaboration with iRecord, features works from the likes of Dike Chukwumerije, Ahmed Maiwada and Eriata Oribabhor.
Ayo Ayoola-Amale, the Accra-based founder of the foundation, said the poetry album was set to bring poetry to all Nigerians and to highlight the importance of oral tradition in poetry as a way to reach the masses.
The event to hold at Thought Pyramid is themed: ‘Raising Our Voice for Peace and Sustainable Development,’ and will feature interviews and poetry readings on Abuja-based radio and television stations.
