Four schools including Start-Rite School Abuja, Halle College Port-Harcourt, Redeemers International Secondary Schools Lagos and Oxbridge Tutorial College Lagos have won the 2015/2016 British Council International School Award (ISA).

Speaking during a brief ceremony in Abuja, the Director Programmes of British Council Nigeria, Louisa Waddingham, said ISA is a global benchmarking project that recognises the outstanding work done by the schools that are committed to developing international dimension in the curriculum to help young learners become effective global citizen.

According to her, ISA provides a framework for schools to develop an action plan and implement international activities throughout the year.

She said that it also encourages schools to collaborate with schools overseas to create a rich learning experience for students through ICT and real context for learning.

In her remark, the Director of Start-Rite School, Abuja, Mrs Amaka Ndoma-Egba, said the school has a rich and broad-based curriculum which make students critical thinkers and to be creative.
