Fourth agriculture summit Africa set to hold

The Group Managing Director (GMD) of Saro Africa, Rasheed Sarumi, and other dignitaries within the agriculture sector in Africa will headline the fourth edition of the Agriculture Summit Africa (ASA).

Sarumi and Professor Benedict Oramah will be presenting keynote addresses as stakeholders brainstorm on repositioning agriculture in Africa at the summit organised by Sterling Bank in collaboration with Leadway Assurance, Saro Africa, Thrive Agric, AFEX Commodities Exchange Limited, GIZ AFC, Mastercard Foundation and Stears Data.

In a statement issued by the bank’s Group Head of Agriculture and Solid Minerals, Mrs Bukola Awosanya, the summit will hold simultaneously in Abuja and Lagos between September 22nd and 23rd, 2021. “ASA 2021’s theme will be titled ‘Building the New Agro Order,’” she said.

She said there are different sessions at the summit during which dignitaries such as Abba Bello, Managing Director and CEO of NEXIM; Yusuf Yila, DDF CBN and representative of the Minister of Trade and Investment, Ebenezer Idachaba, representative of the Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA); Ayodeji Balogun, MD/CEO of AFEX; Kenneth Obiajulu and Serge Seudieu, Country Manager of ACE Global and Ernest Aubee, ECOWAS Head of Agric will be discussants.
