A former Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has praised Victor Osimhen for his scoring abilities while urging him to move to Manchester United.
Speaking on Dubaieye radio and shared on Twitter, the former Chelsea star believes Osimhen has evolved into a terrific player who is guaranteed to score goals, as he has demonstrated this season.
Speaking on the radio program, Mikel said, “When you look at Victor Osimhen, he is doing really well for Napoli, he’s playing really well. He’s going to be on the market in the summer, I think Man United are going to go for him, definitely,” he said.
However, Mikel said despite Osimhen not being a technically gifted player, the Napoli forward was someone that every club would love to have.

“He is doing well for me. I think Victor scores goals, that’s what he does, he scores goals. Is he very technically good? Not as much, but he will get you goals for sure.
“He would be the finished article for this United team, who play some really good football now. They are back playing the way Manchester United should play, but they are missing that out-and-out-striker. If they could be able to go for him and they could be able to get him, I think he would be the icing on the cake for them.”
Mikel also extolled Osimhen’s character, saying that the Super Eagles player was also a good person in addition to being a good footballer.
When asked about Osimhen’s personality, Mikel said, “He is a good boy, lovely boy, very respectful, down to earth, humble. I didn’t get to play with him in the national team for such a long time, but the period that I got to play with him, he was a really nice guy.”
Osimhen has 25 goals in 29 games in all competitions this season and could be ready for a blockbuster summer move.
