French embassy, group hold wildlife conservation week

The Embassy of France in Abuja and the Wildlife Conservation Society is to organize the Nigerian Wildlife and Conservation Week between June 25 and 30, 2018.

The event is to promote the conservation and preservation of Nigeria’s natural heritage in the form of wildlife, the embassy said in a statement.

It will feature photo exhibition as well as animation sessions to sensitize children to the importance of taking care of their environment.

The week-long event will culminate in a round table event on Friday, June 29 at the Institut Français (French Institute) during which vital issues concerning Nigeria’s biodiversity and its preservation will be discussed.

The closing ceremony will feature talks by some important stakeholders from relevant ministries and civil society organizations, who will give expert opinion on the issues at hand.
