The French embassy in Abuja has said it will hold a science-fiction festival in Abuja on Sunday as part of the worldwide festival, called Novembre Numérique.
Onyinye Madu, the press officer of the embassy, disclosed this in a statement made available to the press on Friday.
According to the statement, the Science-Fiction festival is part of the worldwide festival called Novembre Numérique, or Digital November: a festival exploring the digital revolution in all its forms uses and challenges.
The 4th edition of the Go Digital Program, powered each year by the Institut français du Nigeria, is focusing on an emerging genre in Nigeria: Science-Fiction by inviting top creators in the field.

This festival aims to offer a unique multidisciplinary program as well as a platform to exchange, learn, explore, and think of our future, according to the statement.
Madu said a panel discussion would be held with a focus on the Science-Fiction Genre in West Africa.
Among the panellists are Edudzi Adodo, Togolese author of the book Children of Stardust; Idris Abdulwahab, visual artist and NFT creator; Godwin Gaza Josiah and Raymond J. Yusuff, film directors, The Critics Company.
The Art Tech District was founded in a bit to create and inspire young Nigerians towards creativity and innovation, while also providing entertainment powered by cutting-edge technology.
This was after noticing a large pool of local talent, increasing mobile penetration, and the ongoing global journey towards the fourth industrial revolution.
