The Nigeria French Language Village, (Inter-University Centre for French Studies) in Badagry has unveiled its own anthems. This was contained in a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar (Information) Festus Ose Okundia and made available to Daily Trust. According to the statement, the director of the institute, Professor Raufu Adebisi said, “The anthems are often laden with emotions and charges aimed at arousing passion, dedication and commitment towards primary entity” adding that in its 25 years of existence, the institution has provided outstanding French teaching and learning to foreigners and Nigerians from all walks of life. He urged staff and students to learn and know each word of the anthem by heart and promote the message therein as ambassadors of the Nigeria French Language Village.
He noted that its primary mandate is developing undergraduates of French in Nigerian Universities and Colleges of Education, the Village, he said offers services to Nigerians desirous of the knowledge of French.
