Re: A Conditional Beginning
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. I read your 2- part story regarding Jaleelah and her husband. The story was quite interesting and intriguing but with a happy ending. However, rather than celebrate the way the story ended, I wish to advise that there is need to seek interpretation from the Ulama regarding the status of their marriage. This is because for me the way Jaleelah’s husband went about divorcing her gave me the impression that he did so three times even though he did not say so.
While (like all of you, neighbours of Jaleelah) I want to see the couple continue to live as husband and wife, I want them to do so rightly and in accordance with the Sunnah of Nabiyyi na Muhammad SAW.
May Allah SWT guide us aright.
Ma’assalam,

Salam alaykum ma!
I am Rahmah Obadaki, the present ameerah of the Muslim students’ society of Nigeria, University of Abuja chapter.
I happened to come across your page in Weekly Trust newspaper and I like the way you tackled the story. In my own opinion you were able to address marital issues, preach the support of spouses (to each other) and the rest of the family in a better home.
We recently just launched our website (mssnunibuja.org) and we are in search of great articles like yours to grace our web pages.
I humbly await your response and on this issue.
Yours in Islam

Re: All about the perfect murder
Assalamu alaikum. Reading your article today reminded me of a similar story a victim told me. She was a young girl married to a rich man, who unknown to her was HIV positive. She got pregnant, and was found to be positive during her antenatal sessions. So, the rich man in trying to hide his status, sent touts to ‘take care of her’. Alhamdulillah she escaped alive but after being severely beaten up.
When I asked if her parents were going to report the case to the police, they said NO since they want to hide her HIV status and also they can’t win a court case against the rich husband. So sad!
