FRSC penalises 28 officials for duty offences
Eight dismissed, 10 appointments terminated, five lose a rank, five lose seniority
The board of the Federal Road Safety Corps has issued punishment for 28 officers for a range of offences.
Their offences include desertion, forgery, number plate and drivers licence racketeering, bribery, scandalous behaviour, patrol misconduct, amongst others.
Among the punishment, eight officials are to be dismissed, 10 will have their appointments terminated, five will lose a rank and five will lose seniority.
Board chairman Bukhari Bello said the disciplinary actions are to serve as deterrent to others who may form the habit of contravening established regulations and tarnishing the good image of the Corps.
