The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has called on stakeholders and the public to collaborate with the commission in preventing underage driving across the state.

FRSC Sector Commander for Sokoto State, Mr Abdullahi Maikano, made the appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Sokoto.

Maikano highlighted the significant concern of underage driving, which posed risks to the safety of the underage drivers, passengers, and other road users.

He emphasised that the commission would enforce strict measures to tackle the issue, which jeopardised lives and caused property damage.

Maikano also emphasised the importance of increasing public awareness campaigns on road safety and engaging parents, guardians, and communities in promoting safe driving practices. (NAN)
