The Kano State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will commence psychological test on traffic offenders with a view to determining motorists’ mental ability to drive safely. 

A statement from the command, signed by its Public Relations Officer, Kabir Ibrahim Daura, said the exercise would ensure that lives of the drivers and other road users were protected. 

The statement revealed that the focus of the exercise would be on behavior patterns of routine violation of traffic rules, overloading, use of mobile phone while driving and traffic light and markings disobedience. 

“Any motorist who commits one or a multiple of these offences shall be reasonably suspected to have issues requiring psychological ascertainment,” the statement said.
