He said while one of the students was released recently in Zamfara State by the abductors of their own volition, as nothing was paid as ransom, talks are ongoing for the release of the remaining hopefully before the end of next week.
He faulted the rumour that one of the students had died in captivity, saying “I often talk to all of them on the phone and as of yesterday (Wednesday) the father of one of them told me he had spoken with all of them”.
Prof. Bichi said hopefully by the second week of next month, the permanent site of the university will be fully utilised as the national security adviser has spoken with the military and other security agencies and a military super-camp will be situated around the area.
