Fuel adulteration: IPMAN seeks EFCC collaboration

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has stated that it would partner with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to fight against the distribution and sale of adulterated products.

Chairman of IPMAN, Enugu Depot Community in charge of Anambra, Ebonyi and Enugu states, Mr Chinedu Anyaso, said this in Awka Saturday.

Anyaso said the leadership of IPMAN in the Southeast had met with the Enugu Zonal Office of EFCC to explore areas of collaboration.

According to him, such adulterated products were gradually finding their way into filling stations and the association would not want the unhealthy development to continue.

While assuring the punishment of offenders, he warned marketers against engaging in such illegal business activities.

He said the leadership of IPMAN had zero tolerance for the distribution of illegally refined products because of its effect on the economy and would work with all relevant agencies, including the anti-graft agency, to combat the crime.
