He was reacting to Terseer Tsumba, a delegate from Former Speakers Forum, who said that the killings in the North central were carried out by Fulani herdsmen.
Halliru said such statements are mere speculation as it lacked proof. He said it is misleading to make such statements on the floor of the plenary.
“It is not true that Fulani are attacking Tivs communities. This allegation was never properly investigated and found to be true. There is no any evidence to prove that Fulani are the people carrying out these attacks,” he said.
He said some people bent in destroying the North are killing people to create ethnic wars.
