Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has urged the federal government and National Assembly to as a matter of utmost importance and clemency create a special ministry of animal husbandry services that will be solely responsible for the aggressive development of livestock and fisheries sectors.
This was contained in a statement signed by the National President of KACRAN, Hon Khalil Mohammed Bello, made available to Daily Trust in Damaturu, Yobe State.
According to him, this is necessary because of the immense contribution of the sector in providing healthy nourishment to Nigerians and the development of the nation in general.
He said KACRAN believed that “The very sorrowful and highly pitiable total neglect of the livestock sector” could only be reversed through the creation of the ministry.
