Functional card readers ease accreditation in Kano

In Kano, accreditations of voters are going on smoothly as card readers deployed to polling units are functioning well.

Our correspondents reports that the accreditation exercise commenced in the state as scheduled.

So far, our correspondents have visited a total of 46 polling units and in all only two card readers are not functioning well and the INEC ad hoc staff have since resorted to the use of manual accreditation.

At the Bayero College of Quranic studies, out of the 7 polling units, only two card readers are not functioning well.

Our correspondents reports that all the five card readers at the polling units at National library are working well. The situation is same at the Gidan Dan- Hausa as all the 7 card readers are working well.

In Mandawari, Marmara and Gandun Albasa all the card readers are working well. Voters spend less than 3 minutes to be accredited.
