FUTA, UNILORIN, BUK win maths contest

The Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA), University of Ilorin (Unilorin), University of Uyo (Uniuyo) and Bayero University Kano (BUK) have won awards at the 8th edition of the National Mathematics Competition for University Students (NAMCUS 2016) held at the National Mathematical Centre Abuja between Monday 4th and Friday 8th April 2016.
FUTA won the ‘overall best institution’ award while Unilorin emerged as the overall second best institution.
Uniuyo emerged second runner up in the contest and BUK won third runner up award.
Other institutions that performed well in the contest include University of Lagos, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria as well as Osun State University.
