The host of the event, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. CC Asiabaka, was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Prof B. N. Onwuagba.
In her remarks, wife of late Onwuliri, Prof Viola A. Onwuliri, expressed happiness over the lecture in honour of her late husband whom she described as an accomplished academician, disciplinarian, religious and committed person.
The guest speaker, Minister of Defence, State, Senator Musliu Obanikoro, who delivered a lecture titled ‘Security and National Development’ described Boko Haram insurgents as ignorant and misguided elements that are using the cover of religion to perpetrate their act.
