Gaidam revokes 1,200 plots

A statement signed by the new Commissioner for Land and survey Alhaji Sama’ila Ahmed Gadaka said the revocation was with immediate effect and directed those that began developing the plots to stop.

It was gathered that there was a “flagrant abuse of privilege” in the award of the plots by the previous leadership in the ministry without the consent of the governor.

The plots revoked were tagged as plot no YBTP/208; plots number 225 to 234 on YBTP/026 layout; all plots on YBTP/215 layouts and plots number 948 to 977 situated on YBTP/018 Ext all in Damaturu as well as YBTP/201 and YBTP/213 in Potiskum.
