Speaking to Feverpitch on phone after his boys trounced visiting Wikki Tourists 4-0 in the rescheduled week 24 matches in the NPL, the football administrator said his team is doing very well and would not rest on its oars.

He said the team is highly motivated and the only way to appreciate the huge support from the government and people of the state is to win a continental ticket.

Galadima said it is not going to be an easy task but with the current form of his players, he has no doubt in his mind that Pillars will return to the continent this year.

He said those who thought the departure of Coach Ladan Bosso and other key players was the beginning of the end of Pillars have been proved wrong.

His words: “I am happy with the performance of my team. The boys are doing very well because Kano Pillars is one of the best motivated clubs in the country. The state government has given us adequate support and our fans are always there to spur the team to resounding victories.

“I am therefore confident that at the end of this season, we would go back to continental football. I have told the coaching crew and the players to brace up for the challenges ahead. The second stanza of the league is always tricky.

“When the former coach left along with some of our players, many people thought we would have problems but that is not the story today. We are playing good football and winning our matches”.

Galadima said his club is running neck to neck with Rangers and former African Champions, Enyimba but at the appropriate time, Pillars would break free from the pack.

“It is going to be a photo-finish and we are ready for such because right from the beginning, every team wanted to win the title. Everybody is talking about Rangers, Pillars and Enyimba but on our part we are looking beyond these two rivals to other clubs that may like to spring a surprise”, he said.
