People of Kano State voted for Abdullahi Umar Ganduje overwhelmingly with the firm belief that he will continue with the work of road construction, establishment of schools; youths and women empowerment programmes, sponsoring of qualified students to study abroad, free-meal to primary school pupils, free-education to all indigenes of Kano State etc.
Initiated by the immediate past administration, because continuity from where his predecessor stopped was what he had promised people during his campaign, and he repeated the same pledge immediately after his predecessor handed over the affairs of the state to him.
But sincerely speaking, the steps he is taking in steering the affairs of the state since his assumption, seem contrary to the reasons that led people voted for him. Instead of him to remain committed on delivering dividends of democracy to the masses, he and his cronies were busy sponsoring political sycophants on radio stations.
