Ganduje’s die-hard supporters cry out for non-inclusion in government

Some die-hard supporters of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje popularly known as group of 17 have called him to come to their aide by including them in government.

One of them, who pleaded for anonymity for fear of victimization said, “We have worked for Ganduje during his political campaign but we have been neglected by some people he assigned to takecare of political aides like us.

“The most annoying thing in whole issue is that in one of our meetings with him shortly after his victory in the 2015 general election, Ganduje acknowledged our contributions and promised to reward us with appointment but unfortunately most of us did not get almost three years after.

“I can vividly recall that the governor during a meeting with him, he told us that we, the 17 people are the backbone of his political success but unfortunately we have not gotten any appointment up till now.”

He recalled that during the political campaign in 2015, they reported to Ganduje’s campaign office as early as 6am and closed between 2-3am daily.

“Only four of us got political appointments from Ganduje, while the remaining 13 have not been given any appointment. We are appealing to Ganduje to look into our plight because I believe he might not be aware of our condition and all our efforts to have access to him were scuttled by some wicked politicians around him.

“Our resolved to go to media was born out of prostration because we have tried several ways to inform the governor our situation but all in vein. We want remind him our condition so that he can take necessary action,” he concluded.
