The police in Plateau State have arrested a gang of three men for allegedly drugging and raping a 14-year-old girl in Angwan Rogo in Jos North LGA of the state.

The suspects were identified as Suleiman Usman, 18, Umar Aliyu, 18 and Usman Bala, 20, all of Angwan Rogo in Jos.

Parading the suspects at the police headquarters in Jos, yesterday, the state Commissioner of Police, Undie Adie, said the mother of the victim (name withheld) reported at Angwan Rogo Police Division that on January 23, the suspects lured and drugged her daughter before gang-raping her.

CP Adie added that after the police received the report, the suspects were arrested but one Kenza, whose room was allegedly used for the act is still at large.

He said the suspects have confessed to the offence, adding that the case would be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for further investigation and prosecution.
