Today, we have a preview of what to expect in the future based on the successes recorded within this shortest period.

We live in an exciting moment as the Garki Hospital, Abuja brings quality and affordable health services closer to the people.

For the third year running consecutively, 270 children from across the country benefited from the eye surgery operations which was successfully carried out in Garki Hospital Abuja, in collaboration with Tulsi Chanrai Foundation, India.

Tulsi Chanrai Foundation is an Indian based non-governmental organisation that is working toward helping to restore sight and providing access to primary health care in the six geo political zones in Nigeria.

Garki Hospital, Abuja was selected among other hospitals because of the condusive environment and facilities that are readily available in the hospital to achieve the objective of the NGO. The laboratory is well equipped with modern equipment. The pharmacy is adequately stocked with the right drugs and the doctors, nurses and other health personnel are all friendly and courteous to patients to ensure that success is achieved. Power outage is a non issue in Garki Hospital, as the Hospital operate twenty four hour uninterrupted power supply.

This is a long term relationship that will have long term benefits to the people of FCT and Nigeria in general, and also serve as a critical development in the area of health services delivery.

This collaboration came at a time when the FCT administration has made healthcare one of its cardinal objectives.

It is therefore pertinent for government to give support to the management of the Garki Hospital, Abuja, to further strengthen the hospital ability to provide continued services.
