The spokesperson of Abuja Markets Management Limited, Innocent Amaechina said in a statement Tuesday that the shopping mall to be located in front of Garki Model Market will be one of the best shopping destinations in Abuja.
He however added, “The mall won’t be in competition with the existing market as it will deal in specialized products such as furniture and office equipment.”
He said it will however include an eatery, designer’s shops, pharmacy and banks.
The six-floor mall is designed to be a fully air-conditioned shopping environment with multi-level/basement parking facility, retail shops, eateries, banking halls, elevators/escalators, state-of-the-art security and surveillance system among other modern facilities that promise to make shopping a pleasant experience.
The site was on Monday handed over to the project contractor, Messrs Lubell Nigeria Ltd with directive to finish works in 85 weeks.
Speaking during the contract signing ceremony, the Managing Director, Abuja Markets Management Limited, a subsidiary of Abuja Investments Company Limited, Abubakar Usman Faruk stated that the project was conceptualized to satisfy the need for a one-stop shopping hub for residents and visitors of the Federal Capital City, especially the Garki.
In his remarks, the Managing Director of Lubell Nig Limited, Arc Yunusa Yakubu promised to bring the company’s wealth of experience and expertise to bear on the development of the project towards actualizing the goals of the FCTA.
