Ahead of Kano North APC senatorial primaries, former Kano state deputy governor Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammed Gwarzo who is aspiring for Kano North senatorial position had publicly announced his withdrawal from the race.

The former deputy governor who was aspiring alongside the current senator Barau Jibrin, stated that his decision to withdraw from the race was influenced by the state governor’s intervention and other respected political personalities within the Kano North federal constituency.

With Gwarzo’s withdrawal from the race, Senator Barau Jibirin will face the APC Kano North primaries unopposed.
