Muslim Solidarity Forum has called on the federal government to support the petition against the state of Israel at the International Criminal Court by the South African government.
The petitioner is accusing the state of Israel of committing genocide against Palestinians living in Gaza and the West Bank in its ongoing war against Hamas.
Rising from a meeting organised to commemorate World Palestine Day yesterday, the forum also called on the government to mobilise other ECOWAS’ countries to support the petition.
The forum also reiterated its call on the government to sever diplomatic relationships with Israel.

“Similarly, all Muslims are enjoined to boycott products of companies that support Israel and find alternatives from companies that are peace-loving so that they will not willingly contribute economically to the genocide against their brethren.
On the insecurity in the country, the forum called on the federal government, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders to immediately put a comprehensive and practical plan in place to end all forms of insecurity bedeviling the country and punish perpetrators.
On the sanctions against Niger Republic, the forum appealed to ECOWAS to lift the sanctions to avoid collective punishment of citizens of the country.
