The former commandant participated actively in the tournament which attracted over a hundred golfers across the country and in the end, came fourth and smiled home with a prize in the tournament.

Hassan Adamu with 75points was runner-up while WO Suleiman with 83 points emerged 2nd runner-up. The Best Nett was won by F. Dashe who amassed 61 points, while S. Idowu with 66 points was runner-up. Abubakar who got 68 points emerged 2nd runner-up while the Captain of the Jaji Golf Club, Group Captain KG Lar won the 3rd runner up net with 68 points as well.

The Grand Patron of Jaji Golf Club and Commandant of Armed Forces Command and Staff College Jaji, Air Vice Marshall SA Leks DSS psc showered encomiums on the retired former Commandant and lauded him for a job well done in the AFCSC, Jaji and the Jaji Golf Club during his tenure.

“Within the very short eight months period that AVM Gberevbie served here as the Grand Patron (of Jaji Golf Club), he made his mark.We the current patrons are following in the footsteps of this giant that has gone through the system,” AVM Leks disclosed.  The celebrant, AVM Gberevbie who was short of words at the large turn out of golfers that came to honour his retirement tournament, thanked all the golfers, friends, Jaji Golf Club and its Captain Group Captain KG Lar and his Lady Captain, Ebibai Brinemigha for organizing a befitting tournament for him while pledging his total support for the club despite being retired.
