The German agency for international co-operation, Deutche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), has told Governor Simon Lalong that it was ready to continue partnership with relevant stakeholders in Plateau State to achieve national development targets on economic growth, including renewable energy project.
“GIZ believes that promoting renewable energy, energy efficiency and rural electrification on one hand and sustainable development on the other hand as well as deepening economic development for peace and stability are all key areas for Nigeria in general, and Plateau State in particular,” Ina Hommers, GIZ’s Head of Programme in Nigeria said late last week, at a Jos retreat to prepare newly appointed commissioners in the state for service delivery in hard economic times.
