The 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have called on party members to utilize the remaining 28-day window to register for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The chairmen, under the auspices of the Forum of State APC Chairmen, made the call in a communiqué issued at the end of their inaugural meeting in Abuja on Thursday.
Our correspondent reports that this was the state chairmen’s first meeting since their election during the March congresses.
Reading the communiqué to journalists, the forum’s chairman and Lagos State APC chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the candidate of the party for the 2027 general election.
The forum also sympathized with the families and victims of insecurity across the nation and commended the efforts of President Tinubu in addressing the menace.
Furthermore, the forum congratulated the National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee of the party for the successful and peaceful conduct of the primaries, while identifying with the Progressive Governors Forum for its continued support for the party.
