We sometimes wonder how rats get their way into our homes, especially the kitchen, where food is kept and prepared. Rats do a lot of damage to virtually anything they come into contact with: from food to household materials such as plastic, paper and clothes.

The spread diseases, dig holes, break open trash bags and cause other disturbances. They are often found around trash heaps from where they easily find their way into homes.

Therefore, you can take varying measures to get rid of rats by making your space less rat-friendly or by killing them. 

Rats usually gain access into homes from the outer architecture such as a walls, roof tops, sewage holes, pipes or power lines.

It is essential that you fully inspect your building, every inch of it, and find all the entry holes and seal them up.
