Gidi Blues and 76 are among the five Nollywood movies selected to compete for the People’s Choice Award at this year’s edition of the annual film fiesta, Nollywood Week Paris Film Festival. The other movies in the contest are The Wedding Party, Green White Green, and Dinner.

Gidi Blues, a movie directed by Femi Odugbemi, is a story of two young people (Akin and Nkem), who meet by chance, their story changed forever.

76, directed by Izu Ojukwu, narrates the story of a pregnant woman, and that of an accused soldier set around events in Nigeria from 40 years ago.

The romantic comedy The Wedding Party is directed by Kemi Adetiba and shows how chaos prevails when a family prepares for a grandiose wedding.

Abbah Makama’s Green White Green is based on three young artist friends who embark on a roller coaster ride of self-discovery after they decide to make a movie before heading off to college.

Dinner is a movie directed by Jay Franklyn Jituboh telling how secrets were exposed during a friendly dinner.
