The National Ginger Association of Nigeria National President Squadron Leader, Nuhu .S.Daudu, has called on the federal government not to allow exportation of ginger by those who are not registered with the association.

The national president said this at an event between the Association and Traders Of Africa (TOFA) in Kaduna.

He said with the partnership, Nigeria’s Ginger farmers can begin to export ginger into international market themselves .

“I’m happy that Nigerian Export Promotional Council is hear. One thing I want us to understand is that unity in the ginder industry is what will make us to succeed. National Ginger Association is the holistic Association of the value chain , producers, marketers, exporters, processors.

“Take our request that National President of the association has advocated that Nobody in this country if we want to succeed should export ginger without Registering with the National Ginger Association of Nigeria. if we have to go as a family, that has to be done,” he said.

He also lamented that foreigners are taken advantage of ginger farmers ignorance to short change them.

According to him, Nigeria’s Ginger farmers are left in object poverty because of the activities of such foreigners .

In her remarks, The founder /CEO, of Trade of Africa (TOFA) Mrs. Uju Uzo-Ojinnaka, explained that TOFA is a PAN Africa trade hub.

She said with the partnership, everybody from the world can visit TOFA’s website to see the kind of Ginger the producers have and which location to buy from.
