Glo leads in Internet subscribers’ acquisition in June

 Globacom grossed a total of 26,628,065 internet subscribers by June to again maintain its leadership of the sector in the area of new data subscriptions. 
 This analysis is based on the latest numbers released by the telecom industry regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on its website.
 Globacom’s acquisition increased by 272,674 from the 26,355,391 it garnered in May 2016. The Globacom figure represented 86% of the total number of 318,008 new internet subscribers recorded by the four major operators in June.
 The only other network which gained new data subscribers in June is Airtel, which recorded a total of 17,325,423 subscribers in the month, up from its 17,280,089 figure in May. Airtel had added 45,334 new internet subscribers in May.
 MTN and Etisalat, incurred negative growth during the period under review.
