The Internet of Things (IoTs) will generate over $11 trillion by 2025 with as many as 100 billion connected IoT devices, Cisco and Arit of Africa have said.
Speaking at a forum for consumers organised by the companies in Abuja, Arit’s technology director Mr Sola Ogunsola said the forum was held to discuss the issues surrounding IoT in light of the competing predictions about its promises and perils.
He explained that the Internet of Things raises significant challenges that could stand in the way of realizing the potential benefits of organisations.
According to him, “The Internet of Things engages a broad set of ideas that are complex and intertwined from different perspectives.”
