As part of complementing the federal government’s efforts in attracting Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs), the Managing Director of the Global Shea Alliance (GSA), Aaron Adu, has disclosed that the alliance facilitated a cumulative investment of N23 billion ($22,718,930) in the Shea value chain over the last few years.
He made the disclosure yesterday at the 2024 Annual Shea Conference organized by the Global Shea Alliance with the theme, ‘Bridging the Gap’.
Adu, who was represented by the Business Development Manager and Project lead, Cornelius Kakrabah, further stated that under the GSA’s Sustainability Programme, 116,622 women are involved in the value chain.
The President, National Shea Products Association of Nigeria (NASPAN), Alh. Mohammed Ahmed Kontagora, explained that the theme for this year’s conference, ‘Bridging the Gap’, aligns with the goals and aspirations of the Nigerian shea industry.
