The African Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) Forum was rounded off in Kigali, Rwanda, on Tuesday, which saw Globacom’s top notch connectivity solutions in high demand by several chief executives of multinational companies who visited the company’s stand at the event.

The companies discussed Glo’s internet connectivity, mobile money solutions, Wide Area Network Connectivity (WAN), credit check for postpaid subscribers, and bundled mobile solutions for government establishments.

The Globacom team received the Group Chief Executive Officer of Togo-based Ecobank, Ade Adeyemi; Chairman of KPMG Africa, Kunle Elebute; Group Chief Executive Officer of Ark Hudson, Ugo Ikpeazu, and Head of Business, Mara Phone, James Kasugi.

Other CEOs who visited the Glo stand were Chairman of MTN, Cameroon, Colin Mukete; CEO of Credit Registry, Jameelah Sharrieff; CEO of Sodeico of Congo Democratic Republic, Djo Falanga, and Director General of Azur of Gabon, Jean Obambi.

Earlier, at a meeting with Globacom’s Executive Vice Chairman, Mrs. Bella Disu, Rwandan President, Paul Kagame, enquired about Globacom’s digital solutions and a possible collaboration between Rwanda and Globacom.

Also, at the Digital Economy session, Mrs. Disu re-emphasised the need for governments in Africa to create the enabling environment for telecommunication companies to penetrate the rural communities and connect them to the internet, adding that it would help operators to adopt digital solutions that would make Africa catch up with global trends.
