General Officer of 3 division and commander Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major general Folusho Oyinlola, has called ex-boys 94 of Nigerian Military School, Zaria, to be good ambassadors and ensure they continue to be disciplined wherever they find themselves.
The GOC made the call on Saturday during the NMS 94 exboy’s 25 years reunion celebration, held at Crispan Hotel, Jos, saying the occasion is an opportunity to create new memories among the participants.
Major General Oyinlola, Chairman of the event, recalled that Nigerian Military Schools drill students with various training and teach them discipline. He emphasized that the discipline instilled in them during their time at school should continue to benefit them after graduation, reminding them to be their brother’s keeper and never leave anyone one behind.
Speaking at the event, Major General H T Wesley, Special Guest of Honour, stressed the need for participants to strive in life to become successful, as they have no reason to fail, noting that a lot was given to them and they should utilize it to pay back to the country and their alma mater. Wesley, however, encouraged them to cooperate and invest in lawful and purposeful enterprises to help one another, and thereby build the country.
While delivering a lecture at the event with the theme “Celebrating Our Journey, Our Differences and Progressing Together”, Yusuf Sanusi Muhammad , a guest, emphasized the need for the participants to reunite and help each other, irrespective of their differences.
According to Muhammad, life requires patience, perseverance, and tolerance, and, therefore, all participants should navigate themselves and others with awareness, empathize with people, and manage relationships, as these will help them to succeed.
The participants, from different walks of life, graduated from Nigerian Military School, Zaria, in 2000, and have gathered to celebrate their reunion.
