The All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for Gombe South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections, Mr Jerry Damara, has called for unity among party members, aspirants and residents, stressing the need for collective efforts to drive development across the district.
Damara made the call shortly after emerging as the party’s consensus candidate, urging stakeholders to set aside political differences and embrace a shared vision of progress and prosperity.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Mrs Comfort Mukollo, Damara expressed appreciation to Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for the confidence reposed in him, describing the endorsement as both an honour and a responsibility to serve diligently.
He said the overwhelming support he has received would serve as motivation to deliver effective, people-oriented representation anchored on integrity, inclusiveness and accountability.
“I urge my fellow aspirants and their supporters to join hands with me so that together we can build a stronger and more prosperous Gombe South,” he added.
