Gombe Governor-elect constitutes 37-member transition committee

Gombe State Governor-elect, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya has constituted a 37-member Transition Committee and 23 Sectoral committee for handover and takeover of the state administration.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Director General, Governor-elect Office, Barrister Zubair Muhammad Umar.
He said the Transition Committee will be chaired by Malam Muhammad Kabir Ahmed, former Director General of the National Pension Commission, the former Minister of Transport, Senator Abdullahi Idris Umar, will be the Deputy Chairman, while Barr. Zubair Muhammad Umar, will serve as Secretary of the committee.
Other members of the committee are; Abubakar Habu Muazu, Aishatu Jibir Dukku, Ibrahim Dasuki Jalo Waziri, Haidar Aliyu, Dr Ibrahim Jalo Daudu, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, Umar Farouk Bamusa and Alhaji Umaru Kwairanga.
The committee also has as members, Chairman of the APC in the state, Mr Nitte Amangal, Architect Yunusa Yakubu, Zainab Alman, John Lazarus Yoriyo, Senator Joshua Lidani, Murtala Aliyu, Colonel Musa Mohammed and Kabiru Usman Kukan Daka among others.
According to the statement, the 23 sectoral committee will be headed by Professor Baba Yusuf Abubakar (Agriculture and Livestock Development), Dr Ibrahim Jalo Daudu (Civil/Public servcie), Umaru Kwairanga (Commerce, Trade and Investment), Dr Isa Ali Pantami (Communication Technology), Professor Shuaibu Umar (Education) and Lamido Abubakar Yuguda (Finance, Economic Development and Revenue Generation).
Others are; Dr Muhammad Isa Umar (Health), Alhaji Abdullahi Musa Gombe (Information and Social Media), Barr. Mela Audu Nunghe (Justice), Saidu Shehu Awak (Land and Survey), Usman Bello Kumo (Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs) Prof. Istifanus Williams (Science and Technology), Idris Abdullahi Kwami (Transport), Mrs Emily Joshua Maina (Women Affairs), Architect Saleh Yunusa (Works) and Murtala Aliyu (Extra-Ministerial Departments and other Organisations) among others.
The statement added that both the Transition and Sectoral committee will be inaugurated by the Governor-elect, Inuwa Yahaya on Tuesday at the Multi-purpose Hall of the Gombe State University, Gombe.
