Health workers in Gombe State on Sunday suspended a one-week warning strike they embarked on last week.
The state chairman of JOHESU, Comrade Abdulsalam Yakubu, announced the suspension in a statement issued to newsmen.

He said the union suspended the strike following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the representatives of the state government, who agreed to meet their six points demand.
According to him, the government has agreed that no member of the unions will be victimised for participating in the strike action.
Comrade Yakubu, therefore, called on all health workers in the state to resume work on Monday (today) across all public hospitals and healthcare centres.
JOHESU had on Wednesday declared a seven-day warning strike over non-implementation of new minimum wage, promotion and arrears accrued to its members among others.
