Let me take Ms. Fulani and her mythical big shoes on an excursion on some of the most celebrated cases of corruption on mother earth. That of 35 tractors purchased in 2010 for N1,050,000,000 which is at the rate of N30m per unit. Then the Gombe Jewel Hotel in Abuja and the New International Hotel in Gombe were to be furnished for N5,200,000,000 and only six rooms in total were furnished. Then a committee’s report on education discovered that the state Universal Basic Education Board purchased dictionaries worth N1billion. I could go on. Wow, big shoes indeed!

Surprisingly, most of the people that surround current Governor Dankwambo are Goje’s men. I have heard that Dankwambo is an ANPP apologist, so how can one explain this paradox, for instance, Dankwambo’s media aide failing to defend him from the media campaign of calumny against his person and his government. Dankwambo should know that he will be facing conspiracy from within and hostile challenges from outside.

There are so many other unresolved issues that the people of Gombe State are begging for explanation. The rural electrification projects, the stadiums, the mosque and CAN head office contracts, the university project, etc. Very soon the people of Gombe will rise up and ask questions about their wealth. Well, Goje transformed Kashere into a city, so we are waiting for Dankwambo to do the same to Gombe. So, Ms. Fulani, no one is interested in pulling Big Shoes down as he has already done the deed himself.
