Gov. Al-Makura assures corp members of safety

The Governor of Nasarawa State, Alhaji Umaru Al-Makura has assured National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members deployed to Nasarawa, Benue and Plateau states and currently doing Nasarawa State and have commenced their orientation exercise in Lafia, Nasarawa State of adequate safety.

The Governor stated this at the Dan Yamusa Orientation Camp, Keffi local government area of the state during the swearing in ceremony of the 2018 Batch C stream II combined orientation exercise.

Almakura who was represented by Mr Aliyu Tijani, Nasarawa State Commissioner of Education, said “Government will continue to do everything possible to sustain the status of the state as home for all. In this regard, all efforts have been put in place to ensure your safety so you can serve your fatherland with vigour, confidence and patriotism.

“I also urge you all to play significant roles in the education of our children and initiate community development projects that will have direct bearing on the lives of members of your host communities.”

The state coordinator of NYSC, Zainab Isah, said a total of 2104 corps members were deployed from the three states, screened and registered for the 2018 Batch C Stream II orientation exercise at the orientation camp in Nasarawa state.
