Speaking at a reception shortly after the wedding Fatiha, the Vice President prayed for a prosperous family life for the two newly wedded daughters of the governor.
Sambo, who gave the hands of the two daughters in marriage on behalf of the governor’s family, described governor Aliyu as a pillar of unity, considering the personalities that graced the occasion.
He enjoyed the duo of Dr Jamila that was given in marriage to Suleiman Aliyu and Dr Farida that was joined in wedlock with Muktar Bello to be honest to each other to avoid the intervention of third party.
The wedding Fatiha that was presided over by the chief Imam of Minna Central Mosque, Mallam Isa Ibrahim Fari, was conducted after the payment of N 100, 000 as dowry for each of the brides.
Senate President David Mark, the House of Representative Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, governors of Gombe State Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo, Imo State Rochas Okoracha, Borno State Kassim Shettima, Kano State Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, Ekiti State Dr Kayode Fayemi, Jigawa State Sule Lamido and Kaduna State, Ramalan Muktar Yero also attended the occasion.
Others in attendance were the Alaafin of Oyo, Emir of Gombe, Etsu Nupe, Sheik Yahaya Jingir; who represented Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Wa Iqamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS), Sheik Dahiru Bauchi; who represented Tijjiniya Islamic Sect and Sheik Ahmed Lemu, President Islamic Education Trust.
