Gov Bala launches 2021 farming season
He said the fertilizer company would sell it directly to the farmers.
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir has launched the 2021 farming season and subsidized the prices of Urea and NPK bags of fertilizer with N500 each.
Flagging off the sale of fertilizer on Thursday in Soro, Ganjuwa Local Government Area of Bauchi State, Governor Bala said Urea fertiliser should be sold at the rate of N11000 per bag, while NPK brand of fertiliser should be sold at the rate of N9000 per bag.
He said that in order to make the assorted fertiliser readily available for the real farmers across the state, the government had procured 100 trailers at the cost of over N120 million
He said the fertilizer company would sell it directly to the farmers.
Governor Bala directed the Bauchi State Agricultural Supply Company (BASAC) to sell the commodity directly to the farmers to save them from the trouble of marketers.
